The Government of Senegal declares its Intention, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 33/178 of 20 December1978 concerning torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment:
(a) To abide by the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Being Subjected to Torture and Other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (resolution 3452 (XXX) of the General Assembly);
(b) To apply the provisions of that resolution by deans of legislation or other effective desires,
DEMOCRATIC YEMEN

1. The Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen officially declares its intention to adhere to the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Being Subjected to Torture and Other Cruel. Inhuman or Degrading. Treatment or Punishment, annexed to resolution 3452 (XXX) adopted by the Gene Assembly on 9 December 1975, and to continue, by all appropriate means, to put into practice principles affirmed in the Declaration.
