DRAFT CONVENTION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN
India; amendment to the draft Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination
(E/CN.6/591 and Add.1)
Article 21
Add the following sentence at the end of paragraph 1: "In preparing these reports States Parties are urged to make the fullest use of national commissions on the status of women and women's voluntary organizations, which would he best qualified to report on what is actually happening in the country - as against merely stating the formal legal position."
