LIMITED E/CN.4/1983/L.52 28 February 1983 Original: ENGLISH COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS Thirty-ninth session Agenda item 13 QUESTION OF A CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD Administrative and programme budget implications of the draft resolution contained in document E/CN.4/1983/L.51 Statement submitted by the Secretary-General in accordance with rule 28 of the rules of procedure of the functional commissions of the Economic and Social Council 1. By paragraph 1 of the draft resolution contained in document E/CN.4/1983/L.51 the Commission would recommend the Economic and Social Council to authorize a one-week session of an open-ended working group prior to the fortieth session of the Commission on Human Rights to facilitate and speed up completion of the work on a draft convention on the rights of the child, 2. The relevant conference servicing requirements in 1984 under section 29B (Conference Services, Geneva) are estimated on a full-cost basis at $57,700. GE.83-15675
