LIMITED E/CN.4/L.1580 5 March 1981 Original: ENGLISH COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS Thirty-seventh session Agenda item 14 CUESTION OF A CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OP TIES CHILD Administrative and financial implications of the draft resolution contained in document E/CN.4/L.1573 Statement submitted by the Secretary-General in accordance WITH rule 28 of the rules of procedure of the functional commissions of the Economic and Social Council 1. In paragraph 2 of draft resolution E/CN.4/L.1573, the Commission would request the Economic and Social Council to authorize a one-week session of an open-ended working group prior to the thirty-eighth session of the Commission on Human Rights to facilitate completion of the work on a draft convention on the rights of the child. 2. The relating conference servicing costs which would be incurred in 1982 are calculated on a full-cost basis at $35,408 under Section 29 B, Conference Services, Geneva. GE. 81-10819
