Proposals and suggestions for an article on the right to work

The State shall ensure to every one the right to work and to choice of profession, with the object of creating conditions which will remove the threat of death by hunger or by inanition.
YUGOSLAVIA
Work being the fundamental basis of all human endeavour, everyone who so desires has the right to be afforded the opportunity to gain his living by work.
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Work, being one of the fundamental bases of all human endeavour, everyone has the opportunity, if he so desires, to gain his living by work.
FRANCE
Work being at the basis of all human endeavour, the States Parties to the Covenant recognize the right to work, i.e., the fundamental right of everyone to the opportunity, if he so desires, to gain his living by work which he freely accepts.
